A Funny Thing Happened in North Dakota

After our incident in Cromwell, John joked that we were probably big news that day. We would be the talk of the town, after all, everyone knows that news travels fast in a small town. Somehow I doubted that news of an alternator would hit the wires. Two days later we stopped at an interstate rest stop in North Dakota. A trucker there approached me and said, You were just in Cromwell the other day weren't you? Had a breakdown. - So, John was right, an alternator WAS big news.
